What is jewelry damage by human & non-human causes?

Damage by human causes:

Pearls:
  • Long-term immersion in water containing chlorine (such as swimming pools, saunas, etc.) or strong acidic and alkaline chemicals (such as detergents, hair dyes, hairsprays, perfumes, cosmetics, etc.) will reduce the lustre and damage the nacre of the pearl. If your jewelry got in contact with the above products, please rinse with water, dry with paper or soft cloth, then put it in the complimentary dust bag for storage.
  • Surface scratches or shattering of pearls caused by squeezing or scraping with tools.

We sell natural cultured freshwater pearls, no need to use any tools to verify the authenticity of the pearls.

You can refer to the "How to identify real pearls" page for more information

Metal accessories:

Permanent deformation and fracture of the metal caused by abnormal causes as well as intentional squeezing and pulling.

Damage by non-human causes:

Pearls:

  • Natural crack and peeling of the nacre layers that are not caused by the above mentioned human-causes.

Most of the pearls we sell are high quality tissue nucleated freshwater pearls that are covered from the inside out with nacre layers that have been cultured for about 8 years and these layers do not usually peel naturally.

However there are some products that are made from bead nucleated pearls, If the damage is non-human caused. You can always contact us to replace the pearls during the after-sales period.

<You can refer to the "How to care for jewelry" page to know how to maintain the brilliance of your pearls.>

Metal accessories:

  • Metal accessories (such as buckle) have a certain rate of defective products when they come from the factory, we will check whether the accessories are working well before manufacturing the jewelry, if you find that the metal accessories are defective, please contact us to replace them.
  • Earring pins are made of natural metals, texture is soft; To prevent the pins from bending, we used hard jewelry box to pack, but inevitably there are accidents; if you find a slight bending of the pin, gently break straight on it.
  • The normal oxidation of metal does not apply to the after-sales policy, the oxidation layer can be wiped off with the complimentary silver cloth or toothpaste.
  • According to wearing habits, 18K Gold-plated silver products will tarnish at different length of times, it also does not apply to the after-sales policy. You can also refer to the "Jewelry Care and Maintenance" page to know how to keep the gold plating on your jewelry longer.
